Oh the joys of summer. The last two days were blistering-hot in Munich. And people seem to be getting insane.

[Perhaps once the contract is over I can post some of the more entertaining outtakes of my time in Munich. To cope, I'm taking Vitamin C-Schutz, which are labeled "r e t a r d 5 0 0".]

Random AIM discussion today:

bkbroiler: [kgeld: good god, Carrie just washed a load of clothes with a utility knife mixed in there]
bkbroiler: You probably need your daily dose of “Karl’s Life”
chunks: I do miss it.

It seems like the old aD folks are coming out the wood work lately. Lukcily, Greg is ok after his first accident on his newish BMW K1200RS. I’m assuming he is okay b/c he aimed me the link while I was sleeping:

It’s All About the Tradeoff

At long last Munich weather has actually turned for the better. A casual (very late) breakfast (on Steinstrasse, no less) with Herr Lutterkort, followed by a quick Mass in a quiet Biergarten. [That is "Mass" as in "one liter glass mug."]

Things turned for the worse when I realized that Corvette Summer, in German, was nearing the climatic finish on TV. The thing that was so confusing … it seemed like the Vette was right-hand drive. Anyone? [Here is a better review. Though this is one of the bad movies that is so bad it's good.]

From da Fark, it looks like Rodney King still likes to do 100 mph around town. I wonder what he drives these days.

My buddy Michael Yoon has put his college degree to work and written something besides software. Though, it is about softwarem specifically where we used to work: ArsDigita. He even quoted me.

I was thinking about putting up the random collection of aD stuff from over the years, including the original 550 Maranello picture on the recruiting page (we were *only* giving away Ferrari 355s). But I think that example sums it up.

Luckily, I still work with some great people who were there. I met many good friends while working there. We will always have some great stories to laugh along to over a few beers.
